About Coach Jalese

I am a mom of 3, two boys, and one girl. I was always active as a kid growing up. I tried a lot of sports, volleyball, basketball, karate, swim, cheer, and track, but I never really "worked out" until I found CrossFit in 2016 while going to EMT school and I quickly fell in love with the methodology and the community of functional fitness. I joined Steel Mill in 2019 and have been coaching here since 2022.

Turning Point

My turning point was my first MURPH in 2017. It took what felt like an eternity to finish and I knew then that I wanted to do it again and do it better! I love a challenge and I love being pushed out of my comfort zone! I am a firm believer that the only way we fail is if we stop trying.

Motivation & Passion

My motivation is seeing people do things they never thought they could do! Watching them grow their mental resilience and self-belief is what keeps me going. I want to help people gain confidence through fitness to achieve their goals and see personal growth. I am passionate about strength, discipline, and the community. I believe that EVERYONE deserves to be healthy, inside and out. The older we get the more important it is to stay active and have the confidence to be able to do everyday things.
